Carwisi Mobile App
Carwisi is a smart vehicle maintenance and workshop connectivity platform designed for the Saudi market. The application helps drivers manage oil changes, technical inspections, maintenance records, vehicle expenses, and workshop interactions through a centralized mobile experience that simplifies vehicle ownership and improves maintenance tracking.

Project Overview
Carwisi was created to address a common challenge faced by vehicle owners who often struggle to keep track of maintenance schedules, oil changes, inspection dates, and service records. In many cases, maintenance information is scattered across paper invoices, workshop receipts, and personal notes, making it difficult for drivers to monitor the condition of their vehicles and stay on top of important service milestones. The goal of this project was to transform this fragmented process into a modern digital experience that allows users to manage all vehicle-related activities from a single platform while creating a stronger connection between drivers and automotive service providers.
My role in this project extended beyond interface design and covered the complete product development lifecycle. I was responsible for researching user needs, defining the product structure, designing the user experience, creating the visual interface, and planning the technical architecture required to support the platform. Before starting the design phase, I analyzed how drivers typically interact with workshops and how maintenance information is stored and retrieved. This research helped identify key pain points such as forgotten oil change schedules, missing service history, difficulty finding reliable workshops, and the absence of a centralized maintenance record system.
The design process started in Figma, where I created the user flows, wireframes, interface layouts, and design system. One of the main challenges was organizing a large amount of maintenance information without overwhelming the user. The application needed to support multiple services including oil changes, vehicle inspections, car washes, maintenance operations, expense tracking, notifications, and workshop discovery while maintaining a simple and intuitive experience. To solve this challenge, I designed a clear navigation structure supported by service-based cards and streamlined workflows that allow users to complete important actions in just a few interactions.
From a visual perspective, the interface was inspired by the automotive industry, combining dark tones with a distinctive golden color palette to create a premium and trustworthy experience. Every screen was carefully designed to ensure that important vehicle information remains visible and easy to access. Special attention was given to maintenance reminders and service tracking because they represent the core value of the platform and directly impact the user’s ability to maintain their vehicle efficiently.
Beyond the design phase, the project was planned as a complete digital ecosystem capable of connecting vehicle owners with workshops and maintenance providers. The mobile application was designed using Figma and prepared for development using a modern technology stack. React Native was selected for the mobile application layer to ensure a smooth and consistent experience across devices, while Node.js and Express were chosen to power the backend infrastructure and handle business logic, maintenance records, notifications, and workshop data management. PostgreSQL was selected as the primary database due to its reliability and ability to efficiently manage structured maintenance and vehicle information. The platform also integrates location-based functionality through mapping services, allowing users to discover nearby workshops and automotive service providers directly from the application.
One of the most interesting challenges during the project was designing a system that remains useful even for users with limited technical knowledge. Vehicle maintenance can often be complex and full of technical terminology, so the application had to translate this complexity into simple actions and understandable information. The final experience focuses on clarity, accessibility, and ease of use while ensuring that users always know the current state of their vehicle and upcoming maintenance requirements.
Carwisi demonstrates how digital products can modernize traditional automotive services by transforming maintenance management into a connected and organized experience. By helping drivers track service history, monitor vehicle health, manage expenses, receive maintenance reminders, and connect with trusted workshops, the platform reduces missed maintenance events, improves vehicle reliability, and provides users with greater confidence in managing their vehicles. This project reflects my ability to combine product strategy, UX/UI design, and full-stack development thinking to create solutions that address real-world challenges while delivering measurable value to both users and service providers.
